MEET THE ARTISTElizabeth Mooneyhan
Hi, I’m Elizabeth, the artist behind Elizabeth Mooneyhan Art. My love for painting began when I designed and painted my husband and my wedding invitation. Not long after, we started having children, and finding the quiet time that watercolor requires became nearly impossible. For years, I prayed and wondered if I would ever have the opportunity to paint again.
Then, years later, we moved into a home with high ceilings and more wall space than my art collection could fill. I bought a canvas and started painting, playing, and praying. Before long, I had more paintings than my walls could hold—and a dream I had quietly carried for years began to come back to life.
I see painting as one of the many gifts the Lord has given me, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to use it to worship and praise Him. This journey has been a small but meaningful reminder of His faithfulness in my life.
"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."
—Lamentations 3:22 & 23
Welcome to my STUDIOToday, I paint from my home studio in between homeschool lessons, cooking meals, and tending to whatever need the day brings. I’m a Nashville native and mom to four, and when I’m not painting, you’ll likely find me cheering on my family at a soccer game, going for a long run, or spending time in the garden.
I primarily work with acrylics, watercolors, and oil pastels on canvas and paper. My muted color palette is inspired by the interiors I love—well-collected spaces with personality, layers, and stories to tell.
More than anything, I pray my work invites you to pause and notice the beauty Christ has given us this side of heaven. My hope is that each piece brings a little more beauty into your everyday life and ultimately stirs your heart toward praise and worship.
I’m so glad you’re here, and I’m grateful you’ve taken the time to visit.
