About the Artist

Hi, I am Elizabeth, artist here at Elizabeth Mooneyhan art.

I started my love for painting when I designed and painted my husband and I’s wedding invitation. A year later we began to have children and I couldn’t find the time I once had to sit down and be quiet as watercolors require. I spent years praying and wondering if the dream of painting again would ever come to be. Years later we bought a house with higher ceilings and more wall space than my current art collection could fill. I bought a canvas and started painting, playing and praying. I ended up with more art than my walls could fill and my dream began to be fulfilled. This is just a small way I have seen the Lords faithfulness in my life. Painting is a gift the Lord has given me and I pray to use it to worship and praise Him.

I paint out of my home studio in between homeschool lessons, cooking meals and tending to whatever need is calling. I am a Nashville Native and mom to 4! My family loves soccer and I love a good long run and time in the garden. I primarily paint acrylics, water colors with oil pastels on canvas and paper. My muted color pallet comes from interior inspirations of a well collected home built on a transitional style with lots of personality and stories to tell.

My deepest prayer is that my work will lead you also to praise and worship, that we are stirred to draw closer to the beauty that Christ has gifted us with this side of heaven.
